Well, Cloudy, our little white doe is for sure pregnant! I bred her to my friends mini Nubian buck on 11/7/09. She has not gone back into heat again since then :-) Praise God! This will be her 2nd Freshening. Our big Nubian Cross doe is the dominant one in the pen. She has been bossing Cloudy around and slamming her stomach up against the fence. She could kill Cloudy's kids. She does it to drink milk out of her teats. Today, I made some ground red pepper into a paste and put it on her teats. The only problem is that Twister, the big goat, likes the pepper paste. So, plan B! I'll try to update the blog on what goes on in the next couple of weeks. I also bred Stormy, our small black Nubian doe. We'll see if she's pregnant in a couple of days.
P.S. 2 months ago, Thunder our Great Pyrenese and Sunny our little German Shephard, Pyrenese mix died for no appearent reason. They both died 2-3 days apart. The symptoms included vomiting, fever, and going off away from people. Thunder went on the back property and died and Sunny died at the door. We don't know why they died and Gabby our Golden Retriever didn't die. It might have been poison :-( This was God's will though!
